An overview of Point32Health 2026 medical plans

This plan offers both in-network and out-of-network coverage.  This plan has a deductible – the lowest deductible among the three 2026 offerings. Members are not required to select a PCP or obtain referrals for specialty care.  In-network providers and facilities include Harvard Pilgrim’s network in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, and our national partner’s network, UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus, for the remaining states.  Members may see out-of-network providers, providers who do not contract with Harvard Pilgrim or UnitedHealthcare, and pay a higher cost for services covered by the Plan.

A health care flexible spending account is a tax-advantaged account that allows you to set aside a portion of your earnings to pay for qualified expenses with pre-tax payroll deductions:

  • You can use funds in your account to cover qualified expenses for you and your eligible dependents that are not reimbursed by any medical, dental, vision, or other benefit plan.
  • Employees can contribute up to the IRS annual maximum allowed. The annual election is evenly deducted from your paychecks throughout the year.
  • Once you have made your election, the IRS does not allow changes mid-year unless you experience a qualifying life event.
  • The entire annual amount you elect will be available immediately on your debit card.
  • You are not eligible to enroll in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) if you are covered by a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) that allows participation in a Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Use it or Lose it:  To avoid forfeiting your pre-tax payroll contributions, eligible claims incurred during the plan year or through the 2 ½ month grace period (ending March 15 the following year), must be filed for reimbursement by 4/30.
