Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Tufts Health Plan are entering a new and exciting chapter focused on delivering greater value for members, employers, and the communities we serve. With some of the most competitive rates in the commercial market and a renewed focus on affordability, we are demonstrating every day that an independent, local nonprofit health plan can lead the way in making health care more affordable and work better for everyone.

Our commitment to quality is being recognized nationally. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recently released their 2026 Health Plan Ratings.Harvard Pilgrim Health Care's Commercial HMO and POS plan in Massachusetts and Maine was rated 5 out of 5 in NCQA’s commercial Health Plan Ratings, placing it in the top 2.5 percent of commercial health plans nationally. Additionally, Tufts Health Public Plans Medicaid plan in Massachusetts was rated 4.5 out of 5 in NCQA’s Medicaid Health Plan Ratings, placing it in the top 8 percent of Medicaid plans nationally.

This year, NCQA rated 360 private commercial plans and 218 Medicaid plans. The ratings provide valuable insight into how health plans perform and are based on quality measures from three performance subcategories — patient experience, prevention and treatment — and NCQA accreditation. For us, the recognition reflects the work happening across our organization and in collaboration with the provider community to deliver high-quality care and value for our members.

Recent recognition has extended beyond the health plans themselves, reflecting Point32Health’s focus on our colleagues and the communities we serve. The New England Employee Benefits Council (NEEBC) awarded Point32Health with a 2026 Best Practice Award for our commitment to colleague well-being, and the Providence Business News honored Point32Health at its Healthiest Employers Awards. In July, Point32Health was recognized as a World’s Top Disability Inclusive Business based on its performance on the Disability Index®, the leading global benchmark for disability inclusion in business. Finally, the organization was recently included in the Boston Business Journal’s 2026 Corporate Citizenship Awards, a celebration of the region’s top corporate charitable contributors.

As we look ahead to 2027, we are entering this next chapter from a position of strength. Our competitive rates, nationally recognized quality and deep local roots position us to deliver even greater value to the people and communities who rely on us every day.
